SHIPPING: .i really can’t see alcina being interested in a real romantic relationship. it’s rare enough for her to like a person, let alone love them romantically. i’ll never rule it out, but know that it’s going to be hard to convince me to ship with a character of yours. sex comes much more easily to alcina than romantic love, but smut will be rare to nonexistent on this blog due to alcina’s size and, if it does occur, will likely occur only with physically durable characters such as fellow mutants, vampires, gods, et cetera. moreover, i refuse to ship alcina with mother miranda, any of the other three lords, or her daughters. i don’t care that none of them are actually biologically related. i will never, ever ship or write smut with male characters because i write alcina as a lesbian, and i’ll never ship alcina with any castle dimitrescu maid original characters because they’re just food to her.WOOBIFICATION: .alcina is unambiguously evil, and that is how she will be portrayed on this blog. there will be no downplaying of her actions, and there will be no ethan winters hate purely because he killed people who attacked him first. i enjoy alcina as a villain, and i will neither woobify her myself nor tolerate woobification of her by others. my portrayal of this character will have zero basis in the way the more overzealous parts of her fanbase interpret her. if you want to interact with an alcina roleplay blog that indulges fanon over canon, this isn’t the blog for you.

PHYSICAL CONFLICT: .unless they have special skills or weapons, please keep in mind that your muse probably can’t beat alcina in a fight! unless poisoned, alcina is virtually indestructible. this woman can shake off land mine explosions, grenade launchers, and a whole lightsaber (yes, new game+ has a lightsaber) like it’s a minor nuisance. i’m happy to have alcina seriously maim, torture, or even kill your muse if that’s what you want for a thread, but if your muse picks a fight, i won’t nerf alcina. with that being said, if your muse can go toe-to-toe with alcina, i’m absolutely open to the idea of her being seriously injured or killed by your muse! please, just contact me first before you write that into a thread of ours. i’ll always do you the same courtesy if i want alcina to hurt your muse.GODMODDING: .i won’t tolerate godmodding. alcina isn’t a good person, and although she can put up a polite and genteel front, there’s nothing you can do about it if you want alcina to like your muse but she doesn’t. if you’d like for alcina to change her attitude toward your muse, discuss it with me instead of puppeteering her in your reply during a thread. i also won’t appreciate any godmodding of alcina’s actions during physical fights between our muses, especially if your godmodding puts alcina in a disadvantaged position. again, please just discuss things with me instead of taking it upon yourself to modify alcina’s behaviors.

FANDOM DRAMA: .i’m new to the resident evil rpc, but i’m vaguely aware that there has been (and continues to be) drama within the community. i don’t know too many details about said ongoing drama, so if you see me interacting with a problematic person, understand that i have almost no idea what anyone’s history is. i try to stay respectful of people’s do not interact lists, but it’s going to be hard for me to remember who every single bad person is and why they’re bad. furthermore, a lot of dni lists don’t include any reasons why certain people are bad, so i frankly have no idea whose judgment to trust. this is just a fun hobby for me and the last thing i’m trying to do is get involved in fandom drama, so please don’t assume that i’m picking sides by writing with people. if seeing me write with a particular person makes you uncomfortable, feel free to inform me, but i will ask for proof of their wrongdoing before i heed your request to drop them.

in april of 1880, count ladislaus dimitrescu and his wife, lady zvezdana caradja, welcomed their only child into the world: alcina zvezdana dimitrescu, named for the opera by george frideric handel. being so named would cement the arts as one of alcina’s earliest passions, which she pursued at first under strict tutelage and later entirely of her own volition. a sickly child due to the unidentified blood disease passed down to her by her father, alcina also took an early interest in the sciences—virology in particular, which she believed could unlock the secrets of her paternal family’s hereditary illness—though she was discouraged from their pursuit despite her maternal family’s heavy involvement in the scientific community. without regard for disapproval, alcina would study what she could in secret, and her small but formative discoveries in childhood sowed the seeds for her future scientific endeavors.after alcina turned ten years of age, her mother died suddenly and of mysterious causes. her father’s legendary temper and house dimitrescu’s rumored history of cannibalism fueled rampant speculation among romania’s noble class that ladislaus murdered and ate zvezdana in a rage. alcina, despite outward appearances to the contrary, believed these rumors wholeheartedly and abhorred her father until his own death following alcina’s nineteenth birthday.now the principal beneficiary of house dimitrescu’s domain, which included the romanian county of hunedoara, the famed castle dimitrescu, and ownership of her family’s winery, alcina sought to settle herself quietly and make use of the freedom and fortune her father’s death brought her. however, distant but envious family members quickly protested her leadership of house dimitrescu as a result of her unmarried status, and alcina lost nearly all of her inheritance in the ensuing legal battle. full of ire and resentment over the loss of her rightful possessions, alcina took refuge in bucharest with her maternal family, house caradja, where she became an independent vintner after privately perfecting her family’s centuries-old winemaking techniques, became a prolific socialite, and quietly resumed her childhood interest in science.what was once a simple desire to learn more of and potentially cure her family’s illness became an obsession with discovering the secret to immortality. as she accrued more knowledge, alcina’s hunger grew, and her experiments became unabashedly unethical and immoral. now at peace with the once explosive revelation that her illness required her to consume human flesh and blood to survive, she incorporated the murderous and cannibalistic tendencies she inherited from her father into her research without empathy for her human test subjects. nevertheless, her flourishing ruthlessness over the years earned her neither the cure to her illness nor the secret to immortality she so craved.

at age forty-four, alcina’s increasing financial, social, and scientific influence brought her word of a mysterious figure who had attained a cult following in the quaint village overlooked by castle dimitrescu. now desperate for the answers for which she’d spent years searching, alcina sought out and made contact with this cult leader, mother miranda, whom she quickly learned had godly control over a mold-like substance called the megamycete. convinced that her death was imminent in the wake of her illness’ worsening symptoms, alcina took drastic measures and offered herself up to mother miranda for experimentation.alcina awoke from mother miranda’s experiments a new woman. the first of miranda’s subjects to respond favorably to mutation by the megamycete via the cadou parasite, alcina now possessed inhuman strength, enhanced senses, impossibly rapid regeneration, retractable claws, and the immortality for which she had over the years come to yearn. the drawbacks of alcina’s mutation were few, prompting miranda to refer to her in private as an “almost perfect” specimen, but these included the potential for uncontrollable mutation via poisoning and the formation of a symbiotic relationship between alcina’s blood illness and the cadou parasite, which eliminated the symptoms of her disease but in turn required her to consume even more human flesh and blood to sustain her new powers. moreover, the use of alcina’s regenerative abilities resulted in a gradual increase in her height that persists to this day.using her new abilities, alcina annihilated the distant family members who stole her castle and her countship from her over two decades prior, leaving her the sole member of house dimitrescu. once firmly reestablished in her ancestral realm, alcina continued her reign of terror under mother miranda’s wing. ten years after her mutation, alcina acquired three female test subjects from mother miranda, whose bodies were consumed and assimilated by a swarm of flies over the course of a week. with no memory of their previous lives, the three women—whom alcina named bela, cassandra, and daniela—came to view alcina as their mother, and alcina viewed them in turn as her daughters. despite no blood relation, bela, cassandra, and daniela became the heirs to house dimitrescu.the “birth” of her daughters, alongside the acquisition of her powers and her rightful inheritance, strongly reinforced alcina’s loyalty to mother miranda. across the ensuing decades of the twentieth century, alcina gained three “siblings” under miranda’s leadership—salvatore moreau, karl heisenberg, and donna beneviento—but alcina, in all her egotism, believes herself to be the superior of the four lords. determined to preserve her position as miranda’s most trusted lieutenant and favorite child, alcina stifles her doubts about miranda’s love and does her bidding to the letter.
